Dr. Bernard Chuong Hock Ting

Dr. Ting Chuong Hock (Bernard) is a medical lecturer and a psychiatrist at the Department of Psychological Medicine of the Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) and a visiting psychiatrist at Hospital Sentosa Kuching and MeiMinds Specialist Clinic. He obtained a Doctor of Medicine degree from the National University of Malaysia in 2010 and became a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, United Kingdom in 2018. He is a life member of the Malaysian Medical Association and Malaysian Psychiatric Association.

Dr Ting is actively involved in assessing and treating clinical populations with psychiatric disorders and has several years of clinical experience using Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) in various conditions. He also had been engaging with multiple stakeholders such as schools, radios, and governmental and non-governmental agencies in doing projects to promote mental health awareness and fight against social stigma towards the mentally ill population. In addition, Dr. Ting is also actively involved in research and publications. His areas of interest include clinical treatment, mental health and resiliency promotion, suicide prevention, community mental health, and psychotherapy.
